Brats off to Bangkok

Who would have thought these brats, who seem to never get along, love to hang-out with each other so much that they willingly went on a four-day trip to Bangkok together. Insanity, sheer insanity.

This post is long overdue, but even the slightest thought of remembering the crazy days, the worst massage (for some), the petty fights, the spicy food, the endless laughter, and the good company of friends motivates me to write, even more.

So before going into much detail, here's a rundown of the "Brats bound for Bangkok".
We did! We did miss you, Joannadee!
So yeah, in most of our "first photo of the day" we usually have one dedicated to Dee, our friend who unfortunately was swamped with work and was left behind. Mind you, however, she's the one who also works with Greenpeace and has been travelling back and forth BKK since then. So yeah, she didn't miss much.

Here are some of  to-do and to-try-out activities you might want to look into:

So when in Thailand, or in any other country or place foreign to your tongue, no one is allowed to forego eating things foreign to you. Inasmuch as most food in Thailand are spicy, they are also taste-bud praiseworthy; so brush off that spice that almost made you cry and try eating some of their delicacies. Try the papaya salad, it is to die for, and back in the Philippines, no amount of "authentic Thai" papaya salad has proven itself worthy of the name.
Drink milk tea while eating spicy food, it'll help you go through the whole meal! Trust me, I've done it.
Chatuchak food! Papaya salad, dirty ice cream, their version of garden salad, and mango sticky rice! Yum!
Go to Cabbages and Condoms for their out-of-the-box concept as well as advocacy on preemptive measures and prevention against AIDS and STDs. Not only are you eating a great batch of food to include their pad thai, you support their advocacy since part of your bill goes to said efforts, and most impotently importantly, you get to take home as much condoms as you need like! Haha. Oh, and it's a great place to take photos.

Isn't really something you HAVE to try, but if you have an extra day, you may want to go to the "Upper East side" of BKK and look at the slightly alta malls of the City.

Or try authentic Thai massage, done by a Thai masseuse. Haha. Beware, not all can take the back breaking tugs and pulls of the infamous Thai massage.
At the upper right photo, it was hilarious albeit unexpected  that  the biggest one of us got so mad at how Thai massage works that he sends a post-it note on our hotel door  expressing his frustration, "Ayoko ng Thai massage" (I hate Thai massage). :'))) HAHAHAHAHA, Let's do this again!
And of course, shop. haggle. shop. (Need I say more?)

Lastly, always, always, always look for a place that has a walkable distance or is not too far from available public transportation or transit. It'll save you time, money, and human strength.

Here's a bird's eye view, wait until you read up everything on our Thailand adventure!
