About the blogger

I am Paula Joan, and as Tip from "Home" would say, "... my friends call me, Pau, (yes, I said my friends, you are not my friend)”. I kid, call me Pau or Joan (if you are next of kin) or Paula. Wherever you are most comfortable, actually.

I started this blog in 2010 after the travel boom launched itself through Cebu Pacific Airlines piso sales. This made travel accessible and inexpensive. Young professionals and fresh graduates can now avail of travel and tours within the archipelago and overseas through friendly budgets. In addition, backpacking has now become a thing of the present and hotel rooms, a thing of the past.

The name AFTER TRAVEL REPORTER was inspired by reports I had to write for official travel visits of my bosses. I hoped to write an after travel report for my own travels then, hence the name.

In 5 years, I have been to different provinces in the Philippines such as Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Davao, Palawan, Cagayan De Oro, and a number of countries to include, Thailand, Hongkong, Myanmar, Singapore, to name a few. All these within a budget a single budding professional can pay from my own means.

The blog started as a travel agency, itemizing estimated budget required for various ventures. In the recent years, this blog has become dormant, the travel agency held in abeyance, overtaken by career changes and promotions at work.

I have found the beauty and grandeur of God in my travels and wish to continue doing the same. I decided to revive it and use this blog to iterate my musings as a travelling believer, knowing that ultimately, the world is God’s magnum opus.

xoxo,

Pau, Paula, Joan :)
